I’m a very ambitious and passionate individual, an autodidact, workaholic, and technology geek at heart.

I’m a hands-on manager who designs software architecture, develops and builds software, capable of building robust distributed systems on cloud and on-prem, using best-in-class technologies.

At the same time, I see the broader picture with a product vision, extensive understanding of users’ behavior, market needs, and business strategy.

During my career, I also had the opportunity to travel worldwide to strategical client opportunities, conduct numerous pilots, product training, participate in sales and marketing activities, and learn how startups work from the inside.

I’m looking now for the next milestone of my career to take the next promising enthusiastic idea and bring it to life with a great team and hard work.

Work Experience

OpenLegacy (2015 – 2021)

OpenLegacy is a startup company that enables enterprises to create modern digital services (API) for their legacy core systems.

The company platform is a development environment that creates microservices projects with legacy connectivity capabilities.

The platform includes connectivity libraries in conjunction with automatically generated ORM models used in Java projects to invoke remote legacy programs.

Naturally, due to the nature of the company business, I have been actively hands-on with the product and clients' codebases, implemented development best practices, stayed up to date with industry standards, development tools, technologies, and development methodologies.

  • Lead Developer and Product Director (Nov 2019 – Nov 2021)

Assembled and led a team to develop a new offering focused on generating light NodeJS Serverless APIs compared to the company's primary platform focused on Java microservices' generation.

During this time, I acted as both the hands-on team lead developer and the product owner of this platform.

As the hands-on team lead, I designed the platform architecture, chose the technology stack, mentored the development team, established the development processes, performed constant code reviews, and developed strategic features and components myself.

As the product owner, I was responsible for finding the product-market-fit, speaking with analysts, industry leaders, and prospects, building the product strategy and roadmap, and orchestrating the outbound aspects, including the offering messaging, brand, marketing campaigns, and more.

  • Director Digital Solutions & Senior Product Manager (Jan 2019 – Nov 2019)

Over time, many customized client solutions appeared. It became impossible to manage the number of code examples/demos for different supported platforms and keep it up to date with product releases.

I led a team for digital solutions, responsible for managing and organizing these solutions in a maintainable way reducing duplicate work, and providing automatic migration processes for each product's release.

These solutions included product demos for different systems, productizing specific client implementation, and examples of use with 3rd party solutions.

In parallel, I continued to contribute to the company's primary product as a Senior Product Manager.

  • Senior Solutions Architect (Hands-On Presale Rep) (Mar 2018 – Jan 2019)

Act as presale representative, travel to over 20 countries to conduct pilots, training and sales activities with enterprise clients worldwide.

These activities required functioning under high pressure, being able to find solutions, fix bugs, develop new connectors or APIs on site for strategic opportunities overseas.

  • Technical Product Manager (Sep 2016 – Mar 2018)

Design and plan new product features, including end-to-end design of a complementary API management product all the way to launch.

This includes designing of a management system capable of adding authentication to APIs, caching, monitoring, logging to APIs generated by the platform.

  • Software Developer (Client Projects) (Feb 2016 – Sep 2016)

Use the OpenLegacy platform for client integration projects all the way to production (Using Spring Boot, Java).

Extending the base OpenLegacy projects with authentication, user management, logging & monitoring.

  • QA Engineer (May 2015 – Feb 2016)

Testing the Java API projects generated by the OpenLegacy platform (Spring Boot, Java).

Finding bugs in generated code, debugging the core platform libraries.
